Fit checked for you

Every cart has its own battery bay. We check yours.

A Club Car sits its batteries in a molded bucket with dividers and a center hold-down rod; an E-Z-GO or Yamaha has a flat tray. Our comparator takes the bay into account for every kit: confirmed by the brand, or matched on size — with the source.

Questions

Lithium conversion: what owners ask first

Is it worth converting a golf cart to lithium?

For most owners who keep their cart several years, yes. A lithium pack costs more up front than a new set of lead-acid batteries, but brands rate it for several times more charge cycles, it weighs about 250 lb less, needs no watering and keeps full power until it is nearly empty. If you only drive a few times a year or plan to sell the cart soon, a new lead-acid set can still make sense.

How much does it cost to convert a golf cart to lithium?

In our database, complete 48V kits with a charger are listed between $640 and $3,699 on the brands' own sites (checked October 25, 2026). Add a 48V-to-12V converter if the kit doesn't include one, and installation if you don't do it yourself.

Can I use my old charger with a lithium battery?

No. A lead-acid charger uses the wrong charging profile for lithium. Use a lithium charger made for your voltage — 58.4V for a 48V pack, 43.8V for a 36V pack. On older Club Cars, the onboard computer (OBC) that controls charging may also need to be bypassed.

What size lithium battery do I need for my golf cart?

Match your cart's voltage first (36V or 48V). A 48V 100–105Ah pack covers most two- and four-seat carts used for golf or around the neighborhood. Six-seat carts, lifted carts, hills or long daily trips call for 150Ah or more. Our battery size calculator gives you a number for your use.

Will any 48V lithium battery fit my cart?

No. Battery bays differ by brand, model and year — a Club Car Precedent has a molded bucket with dividers and a center hold-down rod, while E-Z-GO and Yamaha trays are flatter. Pick your cart in the finder: every kit is marked as confirmed by its brand, fitting by size, or not fitting, with the source.
